Really enjoyed this episode, as always with your work, Esha. As a New Zealander, I always find Temur's perspective interesting as well in an Australasian context. One point I would make is that it is a little unfair to criticize the position of the Indian Legion who volunteered against foreign control of India.

Whatever one thinks about the motives of the German national state in that context, and the far worse Japanese empire- and certainly, I suspect they were primarily motivated by self-interest after the British government was induced to turn against Germany by Churchill's financial backers, given Hitler's well-known earlier misplaced admiration for the disgusting British empire- Bose and his followers could hardly be accused of being as communalist as the RSS or INC, instead being genuine Indian national patriots.
